Virtual Assembly
We had our first school-wide virtual assembly today, with Ms. Lynch speaking to all the classes from her office.
Everybody was very attentive and it is great to be able to come together as a school community, in a safe way. All the boys and girls were very happy when Ms. Lynch announced that we will still have our annual dress up day, on the last day of term before the Midterm Break. So get planning your Hallowe'en costume and wear it to school on Friday 23rd October for some spooky fun! Remember to bring your coat, wear safe footwear for going out to yard and no face paints.
Ms. Lynch also told the classes about a beautiful piece of artwork, which was very kindly donated to our school by local artist Bernadette Campbell.
Thanks to Bernadette, two magnificent crystal owls are now perched on our main corridor. Owls, as we know, are very wise. In fact they can be a bit of a 'know it owl'! They have heard about all the learning that is happening here in Bayside SNS and have come to Look, Listen & Learn.
We need to pick names for our new visitors so boys and girls can give their suggestions to their teacher and we will choose from all the wise suggestions.
Winners will be announced on our dress up day on 23rd October!
