Kindness at Christmas
The spirit of goodwill was very strong in Bayside SNS this year. While we could not do our usual food collection for the Society of St. Vincent De Paul, the children in our school still wanted to find every opportunity to give to others and were very aware of the true meaning of Christmas. They came up with lots of ideas themselves to share their kindness.
Room 13 raised a total of €305.29 from their Pyjama Day for the Hospice. Donations were also made up of money they earned by doing chores at home, and donations from kind relatives.
Pupils from Ms. Bailey’s 6th class raised €535 by making masks for The Cliona Foundation which supports families in financial difficulty because their children are in hospital. Find out more about this charity here -
The sixth classes also recently took part in the fundraiser ‘Hot Chocolate with Friends’. It was a great success and they raised over €400 for the Temple Street Foundation.
Parents also very generously donated a total of €390 to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul to help out needy families at Christmas.
Ms. O' Mahony's class raised funds for Pieta House - check out their thank you letter below.
Mr. Early's class also had a pyjama day and sent the proceeds to Africa.
Check out the video below of thanks for our pupils.
Well done to all involved! We really appreciate all your support and generosity and wish you every blessing in 2021.
